Bethesda Outreach Bethesda Outreach Ministries - Building Children's Villages for African Orphans

In 2004, the Junior High class at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, gave a special gift to Bethesda. The gift was in memory of their classmate Joe Teater, who lived his life to God's glory until he was called Home at the young age of 12 years. Joe could often be found ministering to kids who lived in difficult circumstances. His classmates desired to give a gift to other children who hadn't had it easy, and they asked that their gift be used to build a playground at Bethesda's Children's Village.

On 6 June, 2005, the staff and children of Bethesda Outreach formed a circle and prayed to thank God for and dedicate the new playground equipment. Then the children were let loose to enjoy it for the first time — the excitement and laughter were a joy to behold! The children continue to use the playground "to the max" daily. We thank God for this special gift.
